Redevelopment of two adjacent canal houses in historic Delfshaven to create one multifunctional and futureproof complex. Client Erwin purchased the two derelict buildings from a housing corporation as both an investment and a place to call home. P·A investigated various scenarios and concluded that a mix of flexible office space on the ground floor, two guest accommodations on the first floor and a luxurious penthouse with roof deck on the upper floors would best meet Erwin’s needs.
"I was looking for advisors that could take everything off my hands. P·A thought along with me about how to optimize my building. They then made the design, arranged the permits and managed construction. I had minimal involvement – exactly what I was looking for!"

"All things considered, it was a complex assignment. The buildings were in extremely poor condition going in, and we wanted them to fulfil exceedingly high standards in terms of comfort, sustainability and quality. Keeping the general contractor and subcontractors motivated as hurdles arose and market prices soared was a challenge. Fortunately, everyone will have forgotten that a year from now – by then only the final result will count, and what a result that is!"
